THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
To Kathy and all the wonderful card makers,
Me and Penny want to thank you for the wonderful blessing of holiday cards. They were very well received and perfect timing. Penny has been a bit depressed this holiday season. She can't get her numbers to stay down. We keep raising her amount of insulin. We can only do it a bit at a time. Since she is a brittle diabetic. having the thought of kidney failure maybe in her future it is terrifying to her and us as her family. Things have been a bit less than financially stable for a good holiday this year. So the cards were a wonderful blessing. It gave her a good cheering up.Penny- Featured 9/08

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I just wanted to send you a quick note to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful surprise that I rec'd yesterday.
It couldn't have come at a better time, we have about two feet of snow and I am going to be inside for quite a while and I have been in so much pain, I just can't stand it.I opened these precious cards for about three hours or more. Each one was so special and unique. I loved each one. I want to convey to each person who sent me a piece of their love how much I appreciate it. The Girl Scout and Boys Scout cards were precious. The Snowmen cards were very appropriate as we were being slammed by a blizzard. I love Snowmen and each one was so adorable.I love bears and angels and there were beautiful cards showing those as well. The verses in each card meant the world to me. There were quite a few handmade cards that were just beautiful. The time these people spent just to put a smile on my face will never be forgotten. Please let everyone know I felt God's spirit in each and every card.For one moment I wasn't homebound and all alone, I was enjoying my friends by each card I opened. I will revisit each card daily. That is what I usually do, I will just put them throughout my house so I can enjoy them.I just hope these wonderful people realize what their gift of their time means to me.I keep each person in my prayers. I thank God for your wonderful group.Jan- Featured 10/05
"What a blessing it was to get all those
cards. What is so amazing is that they wrote my name, so it was so
personal. It's amazing that that many people are thinking and praying
for me. I'm so happy to be chosen for such a wonderful gift!"Vernelle- Featured 12/09
"I can not THANK you all enough for remembering Savannah this last holiday season. Savannah was admitted to the hospital Dec. 15th and was discharged Dec. 24th. Having the box of cards to go through and making her hospital room more festive really made a huge difference in her frame of mind. As a teen and spending time away from friends is hard enough but Savannah is home bound and hasn't been able to attend social functions and has even had to miss going to her golf lessons and is really feeling quite lonely. Please pass on my many THANKS to everyone."
Just received another box of cards and wishes from all of you.
I continue to be amazed by the names and handwriting I see from previous items.
We live is a very negatively focused world, and what continues to impress me is how many of these come from children, girl scouts, brownies, and even families of children. Then the other side of the coin is even assisted living groups. Those who would put our country down do not know our people. God has richly blessed America with a people of good hearts and selfless natures.
I may not make another year, for that matter none of us knows, but I do know my life has been richly blessed by all of you.
God bless each and every one of you, Merry Christmas, and may 2010 be the best year we all have ever lived.
