Betty passed away on April 18,
2012. Our deepest sympathies to Shirley and family. She will
be deeply missed.
I'm honored to have Betty as my Aunt!
She is truly an example of a virtuous woman in words and deeds.
When we found out she had cancer less than a year ago, she was
busy encouraging her friends and family. After her initial
surgery, she had complications and was in the hospital for
around 3 months. I stayed with her a few times. She was so
weak and sick, yet I would look over and see her exercising her
arms and legs.
Recently, she was told that they will have to start a new type
of chemo in October to keep her cancer at bay. I called her and
she was quick to tell me how wonderful she feels and to share
her faith and love for the Lord. I never feel depressed after I
talk to her. I hang up the phone and feel encouraged and
uplifted. As I tell everyone, I want to be just like her when I
grow up!
Comments: She loves reading Christian Books and listening to
Christian Music. Her favorite color is red. She has red apples
in her kitchen.
