Catrina is 2 years old. In October of 2001 she was
diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). A
diagnosis like this is hard enough for the average
family but Catrina's family (Mom, Dad, and 2 older
brothers) had just moved to a new state the month
before, leaving all her family and friends behind. This
leaves them without the support they could sure
use right now. Catrina has been in and out of the
hospital for various infections and transfusions in
addition to her chemo and she faces at least another 2
1/2 years of chemo and all that goes with it. She is
having alot of additional problems due to the fact that
she is lactose intolerant and can only drink a special
formula and that she has a decreased appetite from the
chemo. The good news is that as of right now she is in
remission but she still has a very long road and getting
some get well wishes would sure make her smile!
