Faith's Story
as told by her sister, Laura
Faith passed away on February 7,
2010. Our
deepest sympathies to Laura and
all of Faith's family.
Faith is number 12 of 13 children, grew up on a farm in
Western Pennsylvania, and has lived with my husband and
me,(her sister) for the past 13 months. Faith has 3 adult
children, 2 boys and 1 girl, with 5 grandchildren--2 boys and
3 girls. All of her family live in Western PA.
The initial diagnosis of breast cancer was in 2005, with it
entering Stage IV of the disease in July of 2008. Faith
participated in clinical trials up until this past November
where it was decided that the cancer had advanced and she
could no longer be in the study.
Faith's cancer had dramatically spread to all parts of her
body and after 4 hospitalizations for various reasons, she is
home with us again, under hospice care. She has a partial
bowel obstruction, large amount of edema in both legs, tumors
around her eye sockets preventing her from closing her eyes,
and now, has a blood clot in her left leg. Faith is home to
stay now, until she goes to her Heavenly Home. I'm very
honored to care for her in these end times, leaving nothing
left unsaid!
Comments: We are a very spiritual family and understand our
eternal destination. Faith's favorite things are watching
movies, crafts, laughing with her family, The Breast Cancer
Site, the color blue, meaningful and unique jewelry. She has
an amazing fighting spirit and finds humor in something every
day. Loves to spend time with God.
