John passed away on January 23,
2007. Our deepest sympathies to Shirley, Marilyn and the
rest of John's Family
John is 74 and was born and raised in Kentucky. He is a
veteran of the Korean War where he was wounded twice (both
legs). He was awarded numerous medals; among them, a
purple heart. John is retired from a furniture factory
where he worked as a master upholsterer. He was an avid
fisherman and active participant in the VFW until his
health problems confined him to home.
John has been a diabetic for over 20 years and is very
ill with many diabetes related illnesses including kidney
failure, congestive heart failure and blood clots in his
lungs and legs. Heis oxygen dependent and had poor
circulation in his feet and legs.All of these
complications have taken their toll on him, confining him
to his wheel chair.
John has a son and a daughter, 3 stepchildren and
several grandchildren. He lives a quiet Christian life and
is loved and cared for by his devoted wife, Shirley.
John is a big fan of the TV show, COPS. He likes to
listen to his police scanner. He is a big CAT LOVER and
has 3 of his own: Socks, Missy & Precious who give him
lots of cuddles and attention. He enjoys watching the
Kentucky Wildcats and the Animal Channel and listening to
Gospel Music.
