Marie passed away peacefully on Monday July 23,2007. Our deepest sympathies to Paula and the rest of Marie's family.

Marie found out on 2/13/03 she had breast cancer and she had a mastectomy on 2/25/03. The Doctors will now be determining the type and duration of chemo and or radiation treatments.

Marie is a retired North Carolina D.O.T. associate. She is a native of North Carolina. Marie was married to Billy until February 2001 when he passed away due to congestive heart failure. Billy had been in failing health for about 16 years and Marie was constantly giving him the best care that he could possibly ever have received. These are two of the finest people I have ever known.

Marie has two sons, Steve and Doug. They are very close to, and very supportive of their Mother. Doug has two daughters, Amy(20) and Jennifer(13) who are the light of Marie's life. She adores these girls. Marie has been a member of her local Baptist Church for over 40 years. I have been truly blessed to have her as a mother-in-law and it really hurts to see her going through all of this. She is a very strong woman and I admire her very much.

Card ideas: Marie is a very gifted quilt maker and loves all kinds of crafts. She is an avid gardener, loves flowers and growing vegetables. She loves birds. Her favorite flower would be a magnolia. She likes fresh scents and pink and blue. She loves to feed people and is a wonderful cook.
