Mike's Story

Mike was having some recent health issues with no diagnosis. Nothing the doctors could put their finger on or give a name to. His wife, Jo Ann had him transferred to a major medical hospital where he was recently given the diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is a horrible disease that affects only about one in one million people. A prion (an infectious protein)  invades the brain and begins a malicious attack. Sadly, there is no treatment.

I've worked for Mike and Jo Ann for the last 10+ years. They are wonderful people. They are owners of two successful businesses, one a spouting company and the other a gun shop. They are both very active in the business, in fact, they are both VERY active people. Mike enjoys spending time cycling and hunting. He is also very attached to his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Max who accompanies him to work everyday and on all his hunting trips.

Mike and Jo Ann have a son and daughter-in-law and a grandson, who just turned two.
