Nancy's Story

Nancy lost her battle with Cancer on 5-6-2010. Nancy was one of those Features who despite her own illness, reached out to encourage others by sending cards. Her family expressed to me how much ShareaCard meant to her and how much she treasured all the cards SHE received. We will miss her dearly.

 

My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of 2006. She had a pancoast tumor in her right lung. She was doing great once she started her treatments, she even put on weight and is looking healthy again.

But last week,when she went for her CT scan results,she found out that the cancer had spread to her left lung and this time,the type she has,is not curable.

My mom is determined not to lose this fight and is going to try everything she can to beat it.

She has a family of seven, 5girls and 2 boys.She also has 6 grandchildren.She had a career of medical transcriptionist which she enjoyed very much until she became ill.

My mothers hobbies are scrapbooking, reading and collecting Barbies. Her favorite animals are  cats..Her favorite color is periwinkle. Her favorite scent would be the Yankee candles "macintosh apple" scent. I know she enjoys praying to saint Theresa. She also enjoys flowers her favorite being orange lilies, but also likes sunflowers and roses.
