Sam's Story
as told by ShareaCard friend and daughter, LuAnn
Meet my Dad, Samuel B. He and my Mother celebrated their
70th wedding anniversary Dec.6, 2011 and Dad celebrated his
90th birthday on Dec. 9,2011. Theirs is truly a love
story. They met when Dad moved in next door to Mother and it
was love at first site.
Dad was an electrician in the U.S. Navy and served in the
South Pacific. Together they raised four daughters. They
have weathered many a storm together and are just as in love
today as the day they met.
Two years ago Dad was diagnosed with many blockages in is
heart including the aortic valve, but because of his age he
and his Lord Jesus Christ decided to it was not a good idea
to have the surgery.
He has been doing great until 2 weeks ago. He developed
pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital the next day, Jan.
24, one month after Mom came home from the hospital from
having a heart attack, he had a heart attack. He was in ICU
for several days. Right now his heart is out of rhythm
and it is very risky to do any surgery or to shock it back in
to rhythm.
Dad loved to hunt and fish in his earlier years. He loves
his family, he has 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He very much loves and misses going to church. We are
bringing him home today and pray that God gives us strength to
help our parents a little while longer.

So in love after all those years!
