Shawana's Story

Sadly, Shawana lost her battle with Cancer on April 14, 2011. Our sympathies to all her family and friends. She surely touched a lot of hearts!
 

Shawana is a bright and beautiful young lady.  She had a heart transplant when she was 6 years old and in October of 2010 was diagnosed with Cancer.  The cancer has come and gone and come again.  It has now traveled to her brain.  There is nothing more that the doctors can do.  She has been taken off all treatments and has returned home to be as comfortable as she can be for her final journey.

Comments: She loves blues and purples.  She always played with her very young nieces.  The oldest is 3.  She spent a lot of time coloring with them and reading to them.  She enjoys life.
