Shirley's Story

 

as told by her sister-in-law, Barb

 

Shirley passed away on April 10, 2010. Our sympathies to her entire family.

Shirley was born and raised in Pennsylvania.  She later moved to Georgia with her husband, Jack.  They raised two sons there.  She now loves spending time with her three grandchildren ranging in ages eight to sixteen.


 Shirley was diagnosed with lung cancer in June of 2008.  She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. 

 

Doctors told her in July that her cancer was contained to her left lung and gave her a 90% chance of recovery with treatment.
 

Her favorite color is blue. Her
hobbies are gardening, shopping and collecting
         lighthouses.
Her favorite flowers are roses.

 

She loves to spend time with her grandchildren!
