Ted passed away on May 10, 2006.
Our deepest sympathies to his family.
Ted was born in Colorado Nov 25,1936 where he was raised
with three
brothers and two sisters. Ted has always loved to work and
tinker on things
with motors. If it has a motor he can normally get it to
run. He worked for
the John Deere dealer for several years, in Holly Colorado.
He was also a
truck driver.
He was married in Holly in Nov of 1967 to Norma and the
summer of 1968
moved to Quincy,Washington where he has worked for Lamb
Weston ( they make
french fries in the plant) as a diesel truck mechanic for
over thirty years.
He has 3 sons and 3 daughters. He has 3 granddaughters and
8 grandsons.
He also had two dogs, Peekaboo and Indigo.
We thought all was going well and looking forward to his
retirement and
doing some traveling. We took a trip to Ca. in the middle of
March. Going down,
Ted found one knot on his lymph node and coming back, two
more. He went to
the doctor right away and within two weeks we found out Ted
has terminal lung
cancer and has 9 months to maybe a year to live. He also has
had two TIA's, not
sure of the medical terms but they are mini strokes.
So far Ted is still working because he really would not
last if he had to stay home, that is all
he knows. He was looking forward to having a shop in our
back yard and doing
what he loves to do.... work on cars, trucks and tractors.
We haven't given up as
we do believe in miracles.
He loves being a mechanic. He loves old tractors
especially John Deere tractors, old cars and pickups and has
an old pickup
to restore, His favorite animals are dogs. His favorite
colors are John Deere colors
and also blue. He loves watching old westerns, the history
and discovery
channel.
