" I want to thank
everyone for their cards and gifts. They were well
appreciated. I enjoyed every one of them. I have kept every
card and gift that you sent to me. There are good and caring
still out there. I'm
doing fine and cancer free. I hope for many more years."
My Godmother Veronica (we all call her Ronnie) is battling
with breast cancer and she is trying to stay strong while
dealing with surgeries, biopsies, testing and possibly chemo.
She is an amazing women. She is like my second Mom and has
done so much for me. She treats me and my kids as if we are
apart of her family, she treats me as if I am her daughter.
When you think of a Godmother you want that person to be
there for your child and treat them as if they were their own.
Do things for them, go out of their way for them, accept them
into their life and have them be a part of their family. Call
their family members Aunt, Uncle, Pop, Grandma. My Godmother
is the prime example of what a Godmother is supposed to be.
She is truly a great person.
She is a devoted Catholic and has helped me to have Faith
in God especially when I am down and need some re-assurance in
my life. As a kid she would have me go to church with her. She
would take me everywhere with her. She was my neighbor, she
lived exactly right across the street from me. She is the
kindest and most sweetest person you could ever meet. She
would do anything for anyone. Always putting others first
instead of herself. This is why I want to do this for her. To
show her that all the good deeds she has done in her life has
come back 10 times stronger. If you ever have the chance of
meeting her you would know exactly what I am talking about and
know why I want to do this. She could spark a conversation
with anyone and make them feel like she has known them
Comments: My Godmother is into crocheting, knitting, cross
stitching, shopping, movies, eating out, she loves to clean.
She will iron everything and I mean everything, dusts daily,
her home is never messy. Her favorite color are peachy colors,
green and orange. She loves poinsettias and she loves helping
others. She is also a devoted Christian and attends a Rosary
group at her local church along with a lot of other groups at
the church. She likes tricky trays (Chinese type auction which
is a combination of an auction/raffle, usually held at a
church or non-profit)
She has one daughter and one grand daughter. She loves to
cook Italian food and she is a very good cook.
